The Russians are off to fast start to test Obama.... announcing the deployment of missiles along the Polish border to counter our recently announced plans to defend against Iranian launched missiles. Russia also announced rescinding plans to abolish 3 missile divisions. It has deployed a Russian task force led by a nuclear missile cruiser to the Caribbean. There are rumors that Russia's new President, Medvedev, will resign, citing changes to the constitution, and new elections would be called. Putin then could be elected to two more nonconsecutive terms, serving from 2009 to 2021. This is very similar to the run-up to the Cuban missile crisis of the early 1960's where Krushchev sensed a weak new President and sent nuclear missiles to Cuba - 90 miles from our shores.
Let us hope that Pres. Obama doesn't deal with THIS guy, "without pre-conditions" !!
