As I expected, all the huffing and puffing by those hypocrites in the House of Representatives over the AIG executive's bonuses was just exactly that. The whole kurfuffle was designed to incite class warfare, to get the American public all up in arms over the "outrageous" pay that certain very rich people get. It never was meant REALLY to recover a paltry $170 million out of the MILLIONS of MILLIONS that Obama & Co. are spending on bailouts. The Congressman were not REALLY interested in that..... they simply wanted to light the fuse.
NOW.... the U.S. Senate has appropriately sidelined the bill. It will never see daylight again. MEANWHILE, with America's angst in high gear, Obama & Co. are about to push through a bill designed to give Geithner (and Obama) vast new powers to take over companies EVEN THOSE WHO RECEIVE NO BAILOUTS !!!!!
This is truly police state tactics!!!!
