Throwing those who guard us while we sleep to the wolves.

" 'We have been through a dark and painful chapter in our history,' President Obama said when he ordered the release of the Justice Department interrogation memos. Actually, no. Not at all. We were attacked on 9/11. We responded to that attack with remarkable restraint in the use of force, respect for civil liberties, and even solicitude for those who might inadvertently be offended, let alone harmed, by our policies. We've fought a war on jihadist terror in a civilized, even legalized, way.

The dark and painful chapter we have to fear is rather the one President Obama may be ushering in. This would be a chapter in which politicians preen moralistically as they throw patriotic officials, who helped keep this country safe, to the wolves, and in which national leaders posture politically while endangering the nation's security." [Weekly Standard]

The Great Liberal Pandemonium Machine

"The Mexican swine flu pandemic? ...... Global Warming? All those confident "scientific" predictions are falling apart around the world, even as greedy politicians still try to squeeze the last little drops of power and money out of them. Human flesh-eating bacteria? SARS? Ozone holes? Mad Cow? The Curse of the Killer Tomatoes? Water torture? CO2? Bee Colony Collapse? It never ends. As long as scare stories sell, as long as millions of indoctrinated suckers fall for them they will never end. They've got you on a rat-running wheel, running scared every day, like rats scrambling to get away from electrical shocks that never actually come." [American Thinker]

FACT CHECK: Obama disowns deficit he helped shape

" 'That wasn't me,' President Barack Obama said on his 100th day in office, disclaiming responsibility for the huge budget deficit waiting for him on Day One. It actually was him - and the other Democrats controlling Congress the previous two years - who shaped a budget so out of balance. And as a presidential candidate and president-elect, he backed the twilight Bush-era stimulus plan that made the deficit deeper, all before he took over and promoted spending plans that have made it much deeper still." [Assoc. Press]

Airbrushing History

" It started with the television networks imposing de facto censorship on all footage of the September 11 attacks. The pace of revisionism is accelerating as Obama's executive branch reviews everything produced by "the previous administration." Eventually the only public legacy of the September 11 attacks will be photos of American soldiers brutalizing detainees." [Power Line]

Obama's Daily Dish

Republicans now lead Democrats in the Generic Congressional Ballot.

"A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey found that 41% would vote for their district’s Republican candidate while 38% would choose the Democrat. Thirty-one percent (31%) of conservative Democrats said they would vote for their district’s Republican candidate." [Rasmussen]

Obama orders payment to resettle Hamas Palestinians to U.S.

By executive order, President Barack Obama has ordered the expenditure of $20.3 million in migration assistance to the Palestinian refugees and conflict victims in Gaza . The "presidential determination" which allows hundreds of thousands of Palestinians with ties to Hamas to resettle in the United States was signed on January 27th and appeared in the Federal Register on February 4th. Few on Capitol Hill took note that the order provides a free ticket replete with housing and food allowances to individuals who have displayed their overwhelming support of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) in the parliamentary election of January 2006 [Lin Williams]

Presidential Determination No. 2009-15 of January 27, 2009

Unexpected Urgent Refugee and Migration Needs Related To Gaza
Memorandum for the Secretary of State
By the authority vested in me by the Constitution and the laws of the United States, including section 2(c)(1) of the Migration and Refugee Assistance Act of 1962 (the ``Act''), as amended (22 U.S.C. 2601), I hereby determine, pursuant to section 2(c)(1) of the Act, that it is important to the national interest to furnish assistance under the Act in an amount not to exceed $20.3 million from the United States Emergency Refugee and Migration Assistance Fund for the purpose of meeting unexpected and urgent refugee and migration needs, including by contributions to international, governmental, and nongovernmental organizations and payment of administrative expenses of Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration of the Department of State, related to humanitarian needs of Palestinian refugees and conflict victims in Gaza.
You are authorized and directed to publish this memorandum in the Federal Register.

A not so great debate

"The Washington Post reports on the debate within Obama's "inner circle" about whether to release the interrogation details in four top secret memos. According to the Post, by the end it literally was a debate, high school style, with one official selected to argue the "affirmative" and another the "negative." "

"The Post's report may not be accurate and complete, but if it is, the striking thing about the debate was the absence of any argument in favor of releasing the documents other than partisan gain. Most of the "pro" arguments reported by the Post amount to answers to the "anti" arguments" [Power Line]

Democrats Refuse to Allow Skeptic to Testify Alongside Gore At Congressional Hearing

"UK's Lord Christopher Monckton, a former science advisor to Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, claimed House Democrats have refused to allow him to appear alongside former Vice President Al Gore at a high profile global warming hearing on Friday April 24, 2009 at 10am in Washington. Monckton told Climate Depot that the Democrats rescinded his scheduled joint appearance at the House Energy and Commerce hearing on Friday. Extraordinary redaction

Here is an outstanding example of the behind the scenes politics being carried out by this administration. It is complex enough that few in the American public will see it and even fewer understand it. It is this sort of Obama strategy execution, to take advantage of the average American's political illiteracy and disinterest, which makes his crusade successful.

Obama declines to take "yes" for an answer on detaining terrorists, Part Two

More information on White House demands that 17 Uighur terrorists currently at Guantanamo be released WITHIN the U.S.

Pass the ammunition

"We are in the midst of a national ammunition shortage. Provoked by an AP story attributing the shortage to military demand (i.e., Presient Bush), Bob Owens started writing about the shortage in 2007. Owens debunked the AP story claiming the military's consumption of ammunition was responsible for police ammunition shortages in the United States."

"Last month ESPN took a look at booming ammo sales, including an interesting Google Trends chart in the story "The ammo boom is no dud." The Google Trends chart supports the story's thesis that concerns over what the election of Barack Obama (and a Democratic Congress) portends for gun owners is the main cause for the inflated demand for ammunition." [Power Line]

A Timid Advocate of Freedom

"At last week’s Summit of the Americas, President Obama acquiesced to a 50-minute attack on America as terroristic, expansionist, and interventionist from Nicaraguan president Daniel Ortega. His response to Ortega’s denunciation of our effort to free Cuba from Castro’s dictatorship was that he shouldn’t be blamed “for things that happened when I was three months old.” Blamed? Hundreds of men, including Americans, bravely fought and died for Cuba’s freedom, heeding the call from newly elected president John F. Kennedy. But last week, even as American soldiers sacrificed blood in Afghanistan and Iraq to defend liberty, President Obama shrank from defending liberty here in the Americas." [Mitt Romney]

Senator's husband cashes in on crisis

Cheney calls Obama's bluff !!!!!

VP Cheney has called on Pres. Obama to release the details of the information we obtained through the CIA interrogation of terrorists. Obama has been critical of our methods of obtaining information to the extent of releasing documents which detail the methods, then condemning them and announcing that the U.S. will no longer use these techniques. Cheney has called his bluff.

Here comes the Internet sales tax grab

I guess only folks making over $250,000/yr shop the internet, 'cause everyone else was not going to have their taxes raised !

Obama declines to take "yes" for an answer on detaining terrorists

Obama refuses to accept recommendation of his Inter-Agency study group which has recommended that 17 Chinese Muslim Terrorists held at Guantanamo NOT BE released in the U.S. " The White House legal office has told the inter-agency review group to re-do their findings to come up with the opposite answer." .... e.g. recommend these terrorists be released into our U.S. communities !!!! Didn't Obama accuse the previous administration of pressuring Agencies to "come up with the right answer"?

What AUDACITY.... WHAT LEADERSHIP !!!!!

Obama to ask cabinet today to cut 0.03% from their budgets !!!! Oh My .... how audacious, what CHANGE, what HOPE that provides!!!! That is equivalent to you earning $35,000 per year cutting $1 from your budget! He actually thinks cutting 1/35,000 of the budget will make a dent in the budget deficit he's running up !

Analysis: Obama gores foreign policy ox

Obama has often been called the Chauncey Gardiner President....... Chauncey was played by Peter Sellers in the movie "Being There" as the idiot manservant who through many strokes of misfortune ended up being a successful candidate for President of the U.S.

In this article David Axelrod (Senior Advisor to Obama) characterized Obama's foreign policy behavior as "You plant, you cultivate, you harvest. Over time, the seeds that were planted here are going to be very, very valuable." It sounds very much like Chauncey........

See the following from "BEING THERE" [courtesy Internet Movie Database]

President "Bobby": Mr. Gardner, do you agree with Ben, or do you think that we can stimulate growth through temporary incentives?
[Long pause]
Chance the Gardener: As long as the roots are not severed, all is well. And all will be well in the garden.
President "Bobby": In the garden.
Chance the Gardener: Yes. In the garden, growth has it seasons. First comes spring and summer, but then we have fall and winter. And then we get spring and summer again.
President "Bobby": Spring and summer.
Chance the Gardener: Yes.
President "Bobby": Then fall and winter.
Chance the Gardener: Yes.
Benjamin Rand: I think what our insightful young friend is saying is that we welcome the inevitable seasons of nature, but we're upset by the seasons of our economy.
Chance the Gardener: Yes! There will be growth in the spring!
Benjamin Rand: Hmm!
Chance the Gardener: Hmm!
President "Bobby": Hm. Well, Mr. Gardner, I must admit that is one of the most refreshing and optimistic statements I've heard in a very, very long time.
[Benjamin Rand applauds]
President "Bobby": I admire your good, solid sense. That's precisely what we lack on Capitol Hill.

"Green Jobs"--The New Sub-Prime?

"Remember sub-prime mort-gages? Now universally excoriated as the spawn of the devil, the proximate cause of the credit crunch and all that followed, a few years back “sub-prime” was everyone’s darling. Financiers loved it because it generated sumptuously high-yielding debt instruments; governments, because it promised to make even the poor into proud property owners. Now business lobbyists and governments on both sides of the Atlantic have got a new big idea. They call it “green jobs”." [Times On-Line]

Minnesota's Missing Votes

"Even after the recount and panel-findings, the 312-vote margin separating the two men equals about .01% of the 2.9 million votes cast. Even without any irregularities, this is as close to a "tie" as it gets. And there have been plenty of irregularities. By the end of the recount, the state was awash with evidence of duplicate ballot counting, newly discovered ballots, missing ballots, illegal voting, and wildly diverse standards as to which votes were counted. Any one of these issues was enough to throw the outcome into doubt. Combined, they created a taint more worthy of New Jersey than Minnesota." [Wall Street Journal]

Inner Beauty

"Her name is Susan Boyle and the chances are nearly 100 percent you never heard of her until last week. Susan, who is 47 and by her own account has a body like a garage, stunned the judges and the audience at the “Britain’s Got Talent” contest. She sang “I Dreamed a Dream’ from “Les Miserables” and literally blew everyone away. Go to YouTube and see if you are not stunned, thrilled and encouraged.

We spend so much time on outer beauty and so little on the beauty that comes from within and is everlasting. Susan Boyle made people pay attention to the only beauty that truly matters. Our bodies grow old and wrinkled. Inner beauty never does.

Look at the condescension among the judges and the looks from people in the audience – especially the young – when she walks on the stage, as if to say “What’s she doing here?” And then watch and see how they are all transformed, as if to say “Why wouldn’t she be here with a voice like that?” And then contemplate what true beauty look like. Trust me: you’re in for a treat. " [Cal Thomas]

OBAMA 'Unaware' of Tea Parties ???

Yea..... right !!!!! White house says "O" doesn't know about them ! Just add this to the stack of LIES !!!

Is Obama the way?

On Tuesday President Obama visited Georgetown University to give an expansive speech -- "A new foundation for the economy" -- promoting his domestic policies. The speech deserves the attention of concerned citizens.

The speech begins with a potted history of the financial crisis originating in the housing market. Obama omits any mention of the Community Reinvestment Act, the Federal Reserve or Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac in creating the housing bubble. Rather, Obama points his finger at Wall Street. Obama finds Wall Street culpable for the growth of subprime loans. According to Obama, "the reason these loans were so readily available was that Wall Street saw big profits to be made." [Power Line]

Thousands of Anti-Tax 'Tea Party' Protesters Turn Out in U.S. Cities

My best guess estimate for nationwide attendance at 700 to 1,000 rallys across the country is that around 1 million persons came out to PEACEFULLY protest our over-reaching government.

"The demonstrations are part of a larger grassroots movement against government spending called Taxed Enough Already, or TEA -- giving name to the Tax Day Tea Parties -- and come more than 235 years after the original Boston Tea Party revolt against taxes." [FoxNews]

World Agenda: Nicolas Sarkozy puts Barack Obama in the doghouse

"Mr Sarkozy is pouring cold water on President Obama's efforts to recast American leadership on the world stage, depicting them as unoriginal, unsubstantial and overrated. There is no political party behind these rallies, no grand right-wing conspiracy, not even a 501(c) group like MoveOn.org." [Wall Street Journal]

LETTER FROM BOATER

Here is a story of HORRIBLE treatment of an American Citizen by members of the U.S. Customs & Border Patrol.
It is EXACTLY this sort of jack-booted arrogance that continues to elevate the concerns of all freedom loving Americans. Published in the "San Juan Islander" newspaper where I once lived, and as an ex-boater, I am familiar the circumstances this person describes.

Government Deception

"Mike Whalen, former policy chairman of the Dallas-based National Center for Policy Analysis, commenting on last year's Social Security Trustees annual report on the state of the Social Security and Medicare programs, said, "The report on the state of entitlement programs is rather grim -- the combined unfunded liabilities of both programs are $101 trillion." What that means is that in order for government to make good on its promises, Congress would have to put aside tens of trillions of dollars in the bank today. Keep in mind that our GDP is only $14 trillion.

In the absence of massive tax increases or cuts in benefits, in order to meet its promises Congress must cease spending on one in four programs by 2020, such as education and highway construction, and one in two by 2030, and by 2050 or so all federal revenue will be spent supporting Social Security, Medicare and prescription drug benefits" [Walter Williams]

Time for TEA and a Fair Tax

"I hope you've joined one of the thousands of TEA (Taxed Enough Already) parties or FairTax rallies, which are happening across the country April 15 to protest outrageous government spending, the deepening of our national debt, and the subsequent taxes. This is a nonpartisan time to rally around like-minded citizens and declare that we're tired of the same old political rhetoric and that we want a better way." [Chuck Norris]

Homeland Security Targets "Right Wing Extremists"

Homeland Security alerts Law Enforcement nationwide to watch out for and report on groups such as those impacted by "prolonged economic downturn—including real estate foreclosures, unemployment, and an inability to obtain credit". So if you've lost money in your home, lost your job, can't get a loan WATCH OUT .. YOU ARE SUSPECT.

DHS warns that "Rightwing extremists have capitalized on the election of the first African American president, and are focusing their efforts to recruit new members, mobilize existing supporters, and broaden their scope and appeal through propaganda, but they have not yet turned to attack planning." So if you disagree with our newly elected President's policies ..... WATCH OUT .. YOU ARE SUSPECT

They further warn against "dangerous" returning veterans and gun owners ... "The possible passage of new restrictions on firearms and the return of military veterans facing significant challenges reintegrating into their communities could lead to the potential emergence of terrorist groups or lone wolf extremists capable of carrying out violent attacks." So if you are a veteran or a gun owner .... WATCH OUT .. YOU ARE SUSPECT

In this document, DHS defines right wing extremism : " Rightwing extremism in the United States can be broadly divided into those groups, movements, and adherents that are primarily hate-oriented (based on hatred of particular religious, racial or ethnic groups), and those that are mainly antigovernment, rejecting federal authority in favor of state or local authority, or rejecting government authority entirely. It may include groups and individuals that are dedicated to a single issue, such as opposition to abortion or immigration."

The Feds did not intend for this document to be released to the public .....
"This product contains Law Enforcement Sensitive (LES) information. No portion of the LES information should be released to the media, the general public, or over non-secure Internet servers. Release of this information could adversely affect or jeopardize investigative activities. ...... It is to be controlled, stored, handled, transmitted, distributed, and disposed of in accordance with DHS policy relating to FOUO [FOR OFFICIAL USE ONLY] information and is not to be released to the public, the media, or other personnel who do not have a valid need-to-know without prior approval of an authorized
DHS official. State and local homeland security officials may share this document with authorized security personnel without further approval from DHS."

HERE THEY COME ........... STAND UP FOR YOUR RIGHTS UNDER OUR CONSTITUTION ..... FREE SPEECH (even if some find it disagreeable) .... THE RIGHT TO ASSEMBLE (even if you are protesting Government) ...... THE RIGHT TO OWN GUNS (even if your neighbor doesn't like it) ..... among many others !

Pirates, who board US shipping and threaten American seamen, get treated like simple criminals that do not warrant so much as a mention by the President. One would have thought it was a no-brainer for the Manchurian President, a populist win-win to paint Obama as a decisive leader, a chance to inspire confidence that he was up to the challenge. It was a chance to warn aggressors, pirates or otherwise, away from international shipping. It was also a chance, now squandered, to reassure friend and foe alike that America had not lost her nerve or reneged on her exceptional role as a world leader. ......... Obama’s shamnesty distraction

It’s citizens who have suffered the loss of loved ones as a result of bloody sanctuary policies. Like Ray Tranchant, who testified on Capitol Hill last week on how failure of local and federal immigration officials to cooperate contributed to the death of his daughter and her best friend at the hands of a revolving door illegal alien drunk driver. Or like Daniella Bologna, who filed suit against the open-borders government of San Francisco on Tuesday:

The family of a father and his two sons who were gunned down last year have filed a lawsuit against the city of San Francisco, claiming its sanctuary policy contributed to their deaths.
Anthony Bologna, 48, and his sons Michael, 20, and Matthew, 16, were gunned down in the Excelsior District on June 16 after possibly being mistaken for rival gang members, according to police.

Edwin Ramos, 22, a suspected member of the MS-13 gang, has been charged with their murders.

The Bologna family lawsuit alleges that the city’s sanctuary policy shielding illegal immigrants - even those charged with a crime - allowed Ramos to stay in this country illegally. Ramos had a history of violence and several prior contacts with San Francisco police as a minor. But city policy prevented officers from turning him over to federal immigration authorities for deportation.

“What we’re saying is that the city adopted and enforced a policy that was actually inconsistent with and prohibited by federal law,” Michael Kelly, an attorney for the Bologna family, said Tuesday.

Where Is the Money Going? Who Cares?

You might have thought President Obama was kidding when he said it didn't matter what the $787 billion in "stimulus" money was spent on, because "spending equals stimulus." Think again. Byron York reports that Congress has no idea where the money is going, and many in that body apparently have no desire to find out.

This sort of waste--and you can be sure that the $787 billion will largely be wasted--would be a scandal even if we had the money. But we don't. Instead, the Obama administration and the Democratic Congress have mortgaged our children's future to the Chinese. For what?

We will never really know!!!!!!

Communities print their own currency to keep cash flowing

A small but growing number of cash-strapped communities are printing their own money.

The systems generally work like this: Businesses and individuals form a network to print currency. Shoppers buy it at a discount — say, 95 cents for $1 value — and spend the full value at stores that accept the currency.

This is a way to keep the money circulating WITHIN the community. (As long as the "printer" doesn't dip into the till ...... like what Washington is doing)

Look Who's Politicizing Justice Now

Intense controversy has flared in recent years over a previously obscure but high-powered office in the Department of Justice -- the Office of Legal Counsel. OLC has traditionally provided the final word to executive branch officials on the meaning of the Constitution and federal statutes. Disputes over whether it faithfully carried out its assigned role in national security matters during the Bush administration have erupted on newspaper front pages. Whatever the merits of those disputes, virtually everyone has agreed that it is imperative that OLC provide high-quality legal advice that is not slanted to advance a president's policy agenda -- and that the president and his top advisers respect that advice.

But now it appears that we have an attorney general who is himself running roughshod over OLC.

Why does he bash us?

We've commented more often than we would have liked to about President Obama's constant bashing of the U.S before foreign audiences. Perhaps it's time to consider why Obama persists in doing this. Here are four possible reasons:

The Master of Misdirection

In football, it's called misdirection. When the ball is snapped, offensive linemen pull from the line of scrimmage and head to the right or left. A running back takes off in the same direction. But it's a deception. The play, a run or a pass, actually goes in the other direction. It's a clever tactic--pretending to head one way while going another--that also works in politics.

President Obama is the master of misdirection. His skill in using this tactic is a key to his success as a candidate and to his popularity as president. He is a great salesman, marketing his product--the liberal agenda, plus a few add-ons--in a manner that disguises what he's really up to.

In other words ,,,,, WATCH WHAT HE DOES ...... NOT WHAT HE SAYS !!!!!

Politics at the water's edge, Obama-style

"Once upon a time Republican Sen. Arthur Vandenberg forcefully articulated the proposition that "politics stops at the water's edge." The year was 1952, President Truman was in office and America was at war. Daniel Henninger has observed that Vandenberg's point was, as he put it, "to unite our official voice at the water's edge so that America speaks with maximum authority against those who would divide and conquer us." In recent years, Henninger commented, we have had the opposite -- a domestic political war waged relentlessly at the water's edge. ........ For Obama to defame his own country in this way is contemptible."

W.H. team discloses TARP firm ties

Top aides earned $$Millions from TARP recipients !!!!!!! More Obama administration hypocrisy !!!

Obama Wants to Control the Banks

Under the Bush team a prominent and profitable bank, under threat of a damaging public audit, was forced to accept less than $1 billion of TARP money. The government insisted on buying a new class of preferred stock which gave it a tiny, minority position. The money flowed to the bank. Arguably, back then, the Bush administration was acting for purely economic reasons. It wanted to recapitalize the banks to halt a financial panic.

Fast forward to today, and that same bank is begging to give the money back. The chairman offers to write a check, now, with interest. He's been sitting on the cash for months and has felt the dead hand of government threatening to run his business and dictate pay scales. He sees the writing on the wall and he wants out. But the Obama team says no, since unlike the smaller banks that gave their TARP money back, this bank is far more prominent. The bank has also been threatened with "adverse" consequences if its chairman persists. That's politics talking, not economics.

OBAMA BOWING to SAUDI KING

Completely ignored and un-reported in the MSM ......... Obama bows to Saudi King. What obsequiousness!

Helluva lot of good it did ..... here's how Arab News reported it:

"The so-called new plan is nothing but Bush’s old wine in Obama’s new bottle. So much for the “Change We Can”! Looks like the pundits who mocked our boundless adulation for Obama and celebration of “change in Washington” were right after all. They were right when they insisted that whoever is in charge in Washington, the US foreign policy seldom changes. This is unfortunate considering the great expectations and hopes the new president’s talk of exploring a “new way forward” had spawned across the Muslim world."

The question that flummoxed the great orator

Barack Obama, the World's Greatest Orator (™all news organisations), didn't exactly cover himself in glory when the BBC's political editor Nick Robinson asked him a question about who was to blame for the financial crisis. Normally word perfect, Obama ummed, ahed and waffled for the best part of two and a half minutes. Here, John Crace decodes what he was really thinking ...

Inside Obama's bank CEOs meeting

“These are complicated companies,” one CEO said. Offered another: “We’re competing for talent on an international market.”

But President Barack Obama wasn’t in a mood to hear them out. He stopped the conversation and offered a blunt reminder of the public’s reaction to such explanations. “Be careful how you make those statements, gentlemen. The public isn’t buying that.”

“My administration,” the president added, “is the only thing between you and the pitchforks.”

MR PRESIDENT: I'VE NEWS FOR YOU ...... WE THE PEOPLE STAND BETWEEN YOU AND AMERICAN BUSINESS ..... PITCHFORKS AND OTHER WEAPONS IN HAND !!!!

Our Problem is Immorality

"I am all too afraid that a historian, a hundred years from now, will footnote America as a historical curiosity where people once enjoyed private property rights and limited government but it all returned to mankind's normal state of affairs -- arbitrary abuse and control by the powerful elite."

The President Is 'Keeping Score'

Chicago politics has moved into the White House.

"Don't think we're not keeping score, brother." That's what President Barack Obama said to Rep. Peter DeFazio Democrat) in a closed-door meeting of the House Democratic Caucus last week, according to the Associated Press.

PROMISES, PROMISES: Obama tax pledge up in smoke

One of President Barack Obama's campaign pledges on taxes went up in puffs of smoke Wednesday.

"I can make a firm pledge," he said in Dover, N.H., on Sept. 12. "Under my plan, no family making less than $250,000 a year will see any form of tax increase. Not your income tax, not your payroll tax, not your capital gains taxes, not any of your taxes."

He repeatedly vowed "you will not see any of your taxes increase one single dime."

Now You’re Talking

A clear description of why "talk radio" is thriving and why it would survive any attempt to revive the "Fairness Doctrine".

The rule of non-frivolous "law"

"What we have now, it appears, is a thoroughly politicized Department of Justice, enlisted in service of the Democratic Party"

Lawmakers Have Long Rewarded Their Aides With Bonuses

Over $9 million in BONUSES awarded to Congressional aides last year...... while they beat up lawfully paid, contractually obligated, AIG executives! What unbridled hypocrisy !

Watchdogs: Treasury won't disclose bank bailout details

"The massive programs designed to rescue the nation's financial sector are operating without adequate oversight, with vague goals and limited disclosure of their details to the taxpayers who are paying for them, government watchdogs told a Senate panel Tuesday"

AND THIS ADMINISTRATION PROMISED TRANSPARENCY !!!

Senate Legislation Would Federalize Cybersecurity
