Researcher "publishes article liberally salted with nonsense" in a leading North American journal of cultural studies, "Social Text". He later explained it was a hoax to test if such gibberish would receive accolades when "(a) it sounded good and (b) it flattered the editors' ideological preconceptions?" It did!
