Pigford: Obama's Down Payment on the 2012 Rural South Vote

"This past Tuesday, Nov 30^th, the Democrat-controlled lame-duck House passed the $1.25 billion Black Farmer’s Settlement funding known as Pigford II by a vote of 256-152.....

On top of the original billion-plus dollars previously doled out indiscriminately in Pigford I, the American taxpayer will now be on the hook for an additional $1.25 billion in payments to black “farmers,” whom did not have to provide proof of:

-Having ever farmed or having attempted to farm
-Having ever had a loan at the USDA
-Having ever filled out paperwork to attain a farm loan
-Having ever attempted to get a loan.

The only burden of proof required in Pigford I was a form stating the claimant had “attempted” to farm, and to have a family member vouch for that assertion.
The U.S. government would then send a check to these “farmers” for $50,000.

Mother harassed over breast milk screening

Because she did not want her pumped breast milk to pass through X-Ray machines, she was held in the "special inspection area" for 40 minutes.  The week before she had refused (under published TSA rules) to allow her breast milk to be X-Rayed.

"All the same TSA parties were present from the week before surrounded me . I was demanding an explanation and wanted to speak with the manager but was refused. I was told to be quiet and do as I was told or I wasn’t going anywhere. I felt like a caged animal, stared at by multiple TSA agents and other travelers. Let's see here:  292 people per year are killed by "backover" accidents.  Having backup cameras installed might save half of them : 146 people.

To achieve this, the bureaucrats are proposing that automobiles have backup cameras installed at an estimated $2,700,000,000 per year (that's $2.7 BILLION).

That's about $20,000,000 ($20 MILLION) per person saved.

Who pays that bill?  The Govm't?  That is you and I from our taxes.   The auto purchaser?  That is also you and I.

Why don't we simply teach our family to be careful when walking behind running cars and trucks?

.... the Senate screwed up.  They committed a blatantly un-Constitutional act by including the levying of a tax within their bill.  Of course, only the House may originate taxing authorizations so the Food Safety Act is DEAD!
