After letting my motorcycle sit in my garage for an extended time, because of a bad battery, when I tried to start it, I noticed a liquid running out on the garage floor. Several gallons run out on the floor. After talking to a motorcycle mechanic at the dealer, he said it was because water from the ethanol made the float valve stick and the gasoline ran down into the crankcase mixed with the oil and overflowed. This happened because of the ethanol. Also, there was an experimental airplane that crashed because the pilot used car gas and his engine quit on take off because of water from the ethenol. Anson
