Not-So-Smooth Operator

Peggy Noonan now says

"Obama increasingly comes across as devious and dishonest. "

What is happening is that the president is coming across more and more as a trimmer, as an operator who's not operating in good faith. This is hardening positions and leading to increased political bitterness. And it's his fault, too. As an increase in polarization is a bad thing, it's a big fault." [Wall Street Journal]

Lib radio talker attacks GOP Lt. Gov. of WI: She “performed fellatio on all the talk show hosts in Milwaukee” and “pulled a train”

"The Lt. Governor of Wisconsin, Rebecca Kleefisch, is a target in the recall election coming up, along with Governor Scott Walker and three Republican State Senators. Segments of Wisconsin media have been attacking all five of them but here is a particularly viscious attack on Mrs. Kleefisch:

Lt. Gov. Kleefisch is a wife, mother of two, cancer survivor, journalist, and free-market advocate who is trying to persuade businesses to come to Wisconsin through cold phone calls.

This is what John “Sly” Slyvester said in an on-rant about Lt. Gov. Kleefisch’s personal and political life (transcript via Freedom Eden):

“SLY” SYLVESTER: How amateurish is it to have Rebecca Kleefisch, who, I don’t know, she has some like little panty business in her basement or something, I don’t know. She’s hardly a, she’s hardly an entrepreneur. You know what? You know how amateurish that is? Cold-calling?

(Mocking Kleefisch in high-pitched, slurred voice)

‘Would you like to move to Wisconsin? Would you like to move CouponCabin to Wisconsin? I’m Rebecca Kleefisch. I perform fellatio on all the talk show hosts in Milwaukee. And they endorse me and that’s how I became lieutenant governor. And then I got colon cancer and I ran around the state to help people. Even though I have government health care, screw everyone else.’

…I had heard at one point Rebecca Kleefisch pulled a train, but that must have been a different story I was reading about.

“Pulled a train” is vulgar slang for group gang rape."

This Wisconsin recall battle has become outrageously abusive, viscious and vulgar. Here is the result of untold millions of dollars of union money pouring into the recall campaign to defeat these five. [clipper]

Undoing Obamacare

"A month before President Obama signed Obama-care into law, his secretary of health and human services, Kathleen Sebelius, said, “I think the president remains committed to the notion that we have to have a comprehensive approach, because the pieces of the puzzle are too closely tied to one another.” She added, “Pieces of the puzzle are necessarily tied together if you have a comprehensive approach.” You might say that Obama-care aspires to be like a finely tuned watch—though it is of course a clunky, clacking, often imprecise, congressionally assembled, $2 trillion watch. But it’s comprehensive.

The predicament in which the Court finds itself is plainly a product of President Obama and his party’s preference for massive, unwieldy, impossibly complicated legislation—the kind that you have to pass first to “find out what is in it.” Such legislation, as the oral arguments revealed, does not fit within our system of limited government. That’s because, as Charles Kesler has observed, Obamacare violates the basic notion of law in a free society. Kesler writes, “Sometimes the most obvious derangements of our politics are staring us in the face but we don’t see them”—like “calling this voluminous monstrosity a bill. Can you have a bill, a single law, that is almost 3,000 pages long? In the old days, that would have constituted a whole code of laws.”

In other words, it’s not just Obamacare that must go, but rather the whole liberal and progressive notion of “comprehensive” legislation for a nation of 300 million people. Obamacare is the epitome of that confidence in central planning by experts. Whether the Court strikes down Obamacare, or President Obama is defeated and Obamacare is repealed, or the Court strikes down part of Obamacare and a new president and Congress repeal the rest, last week’s historic hearings have made one thing clearer than ever: Attempts at “comprehensive” legislation compromise the very notion of limited government, in which the people’s representatives try to accomplish attainable goals in a free society. Comprehensive legislation is what happens when you have unlimited government. It is that effort, and the attitude underlying it, that need to be repudiated—by the Court and, more important, by the voters this November." [Weekly Standard]

Another $17 trillion surprise found in Obamacare

"Senate Republican staffers continue to look though the 2010 health care reform law to see what’s in it, and their latest discovery is a massive $17 trillion funding gap.

“The more we learn about the bill, the more we learn it is even more unaffordable than was suspected,” said Alabama Sen. Jeff Sessions, the Republicans’ budget chief in the Senate.

“The bill has to be removed from the books because we don’t have the money,” he said." [Daily Caller]

State of Construction: The Best and Worst (Mostly Worst)

"Let's take a look at national construction employment. According to the latest available data (February, 2012) from the Bureau of Labor Statistics Construction Sector website, national construction employment peaked in April 2006 at 7,726,000 workers. Today, construction employment stands at 5,554,000 workers. Over the last six years, 2,172,000 construction jobs have been lost. The decline is actually larger, given that the undocumented workforce is prevalent on construction jobsites but not in government records.

The two million-plus construction jobs lost are real. These were workers who actually produced something in America. The strongest, most capable producers in society have been reduced by 30%. Unlike when the BLS statistician deletes one million people from the workforce and pretends that they no longer exist, these workers remain out there. As the industry continues in decline, the long-term consequences remain unknown. You can't take one third of an industry and hit "delete" without negative consequences arising somewhere. Here we have an early look at the fundamental transformation of America at work." [American Thinker]

Al Sharpton: Civil disobedience will escalate if Zimmerman remains free

AL SHARPTON SHOULD BE ARRESTED IF DISOBEDIENCE OF THE LAW OCCURS

Don't Get Drunk at the Individual Mandate Victory Party

"The individual mandate is merely the left's latest instrument in the effort to undermine liberty through health care; it is not the primary target.

The Supreme Court's decision regarding ObamaCare's individual mandate will be extraordinarily important, and declaring the mandate unconstitutional would be a vital step in thwarting the left's achievement of government-controlled health care in the short term. But constitutional conservatives must be careful not to allow the thrill of possible victory to blind them to the continuing threat coming from progressives determined to put the state in charge of life-and-death decisions for every citizen." [American Thinker]

Don't be deluded....... if this OBAMACARE goes down, he will head straight towards instituting a single payer (Gov't) health care system.... a la Canada and the U.K. And that will be more difficult to defeat.

MSNBC, the Faux News Network

"Liberals have been feverishly attacking Fox News for years now, irate that the Left’s monopoly on television news outlets has been broken. Conservatives, on the other hand, have tended to ignore MSNBC, even though that network is far more partisan, and less reliable, than Fox. Perhaps this is because of a perception that hardly anyone watches MSNBC. It is true, of course, that that network’s ratings are nowhere near Fox’s, but still, close to a million people watch the most popular MSNBC shows. That is far too many for a network that is not only ridiculously partisan, but spews hate on a regular basis.

A case in point: a week ago today, Karen Finney, guest hosting for Martin Bashir, blamed Charles and David Koch for the Trayvon Martin shooting: " [Power Line]

Media scrubs Malia Obama vacation story

Numerous world media outlets were asked to scrub stories they had posted concerning First Daughter Mahlia's Mexican vacation with 12 friends, 25 Secret service and two U.S. Government jets. Not all media cooperated .... see Edmonton, Alberta, Canada "Edmonton Journal" article here.

The argument given was " the White House has asked news outlets not to report on or photograph the Obama children when they are not with their parents and there is no vital news interest."

At least one blogger(Bradford Tiernan ) has observed:
"The socialist uses his daughters when needed politically (i.e., to support Sandra Fluke) but then "asks" the media to scrub anything that could look politically bad concerning his daughters (i.e., using tax payers money for over 25 secret service agents to gaurd his daughter and her friends on a vacation to mexico.) [I wonder who paid the airfare for the daughter's friends, guess we wont know now!]

Obama has spoke about Sasha and Malia, in discussing everything from the rescue of an American aid worker from Somalian pirates to the contraception issue with Rush Limbaugh. His daughters are aslo prominent in a family photo being used by his reelection campaign ads.

SO, the media should report about his daughter, IF IT HELPS HIS CAMPAIGN; but.

The media SHOULD NOT report, if it doesn't look too good politically.

I think you've got that correct Bradford!

The Top 50 Examples Of Liberal Media Bias

"Let’s face it, liberal media bias has been around since there have been liberals to do the “reporting” of the news. But this fact should surprise no one. After all, the news media has always been filled with bias of one type or another. In fact, there was a time when American customers of the news knew exactly which newspapers sported which point of view. It was taken for granted that one newspaper supported one side and another newspaper a different side." [Western Center for Journalism]

Parents of murdered British students criticise Barack Obama

"The parents of two British students murdered in Florida have criticised President Barack Obama for his lack of compassion over their sons' deaths.

Two close friends of the dead men who had attended the eight day trial in Sarasota, Florida. had also delivered highly emotional impact statements to the court prior to the sentencing.

Later speaking after Tyson was jailed Davies and Hallett lashed out at Mr Obama saying the deaths of their friends was "not worthy of ten minutes of his time."

Davies said:"We would like to publicly express our dissatisfaction at the lack of any public or private message of support or condolence from any American governing body or indeed, President Obama himself.

"Mr Kouzaris has written to President Obama on three separate occasions and is yet to even receive the courtesy of a reply.

"It would perhaps appear that Mr Obama sees no political value in facilitating such a request or that the lives of two British tourists are not worthy of ten minutes of his time."" [The Telegraph"

State lawmakers revive eligibility requirement

"Arizona, at the forefront of last year’s effort among state legislatures to require eligibility documentation for candidates seeking office, is returning to the controversy with a proposal by Rep. Carl Seel, R-Phoenix, requiring candidates to sign an affidavit affirming they meet the legal requirements.

The plan was promoted in a news conference yesterday attended by Sheriff Joe Arpaio, whose Cold Case Posse earlier this month detailed how the evidence regarding Barack Obama’s eligibility documentation indicates both forgery and fraud.

In addition to requiring a signed affidavit from candidates, Seel’s proposal would authorize any citizen with legitimate concerns over a candidate’s eligibility the legal standing to challenge it in court." [WND]

Pravda on Mitt Romney: 'Out-Of-Touch, Out-Of-Date, Unelectable'

Bernanke: Obama Unemployment Numbers 'Out of Sync'

"Declining jobless numbers, sprouting lately from the Obama administration like so many spring crocuses, have left even the Chairman of the Federal Reserve puzzled over figures that are "out of sync" with the overall economy.

Bernanke then proceeded to explain why unemployment figures from the administration seem so out of step with the reality most folks are experiencing. He started with a basic, but often overlooked, part of the jobless equation. "The monthly increase in payroll employment, which commands so much public attention, is a net change," he said. "It equals the number of hires during the month less the number of separations (including layoffs, quits, and other separations)[.]"

In other words, the U.S. job market is in a constant state of flux, with people leaving the workforce due to retirement, or being fired, or leaving a job for a better position, etc. Likewise, some of the positions will be refilled, taking a person out of the ranks of the unemployed. These are not jobs created, but replacement hirings. Then Bernanke concluded, "the increase in employment since the end of 2009 has been due to a significant decline in layoffs but only a moderate improvement in hiring."

.... the most recent numbers from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, cited by Bernanke, show that the number of people being hired has declined in 2012 -- even as Obama officials reported that unemployment figures came down." [American Thinker]

The World According to Obama

"President Obama recently toured the Korean demilitarized zone and, according to reports, stared disbelievingly into North Korea. "It is like you are looking across 50 years into a country that has missed 40 years or 50 years of progress," he stated. Well, yes, it is. It is also what a country looks like when decades of communism, military dictatorship, human rights abuses, and nuclear obsession exist instead of democracy and freedom. What did he think he was going to see? Skyscrapers, green parks with children skipping through the daisies, and obesity due to too much fast food consumption (God forbid)?

Alas, Barack Obama is living in an ivory tower in which he has absolutely no conception of what is taking place in so many parts of the world." [American Thinker]

Senators Call Obama On His Energy Lies

" Obama’s re-election campaign is in trouble, in large part because voters aren’t happy about being impoverished by Obama’s anti-energy policies. So, in an absurd turnabout, Obama has postured himself as an advocate of “drill, baby, drill.” In order to defend himself, Obama has repeatedly and consistently lied about his own administration’s policies and about America’s energy resources. That is a harsh characterization, but there is simply no other way to put it.

Today, Senators David Vitter, Jeff Sessions and John Cornyn called Obama on his lies in the form of a letter to Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar. Their indictment is devastating:

Race and Rhetoric

"One of the things that turned up, during a long-overdue cleanup of my office, was an old yellowed copy of the New York Times dated July 24, 1992. One of the front-page headlines said: "White-Black Disparity in Income Narrowed in 80's, Census Shows."

The 1980s? Wasn't that the years of the Reagan administration, the "decade of greed," the era of "neglect" of the poor and minorities, if not "covert racism"?

More recently, during the administration of America's first black president, a 2011 report from the Pew Research Center has the headline, "Wealth Gaps Rise to Record Highs Between Whites, Blacks and Hispanics."

While the median net worth of whites was ten times the median net worth of blacks in 1988, the last year of the Reagan administration, the ratio was nineteen to one in 2009, the first year of the Obama administration. With Hispanics, the ratio was eight to one in 1988 and fifteen to one in 2009." [Thomas Sowell]

Obamacare’s contract problem

"... the Institute for Justice (IJ), a libertarian public interest law firm, has focused on this fact: The individual mandate is incompatible with centuries of contract law. This is so because a compulsory contract is an oxymoron.

The IJ correctly says that if the court were to ratify Congress’s disregard for settled contract law, Congress’s “power to compel contractual relations would have no logical stopping point.” Which is why this case is the last exit ramp on the road to unlimited government." [George Will]

Mandatory Spending by a Broke Nation

"Federal spending has two sides: mandatory spending and discretionary spending. The biggest programs on the mandatory side are Social Security and Medicare. These two programs are called "mandatory" because they are not subject to the budget process; spending is said to be "on autopilot." Until recently, the two programs were entirely funded with the payroll tax. But with the advent of the Great Recession and the retirement of the Baby Boom generation, the programs are also getting revenue from the general fund, as the revenue from the payroll tax is insufficient to pay benefits.

The discretionary side of the federal spending consists of those items that must be included in budgets and appropriations -- everything from Defense to Solyndra." [American Thinker]

Why Is Observing Obama as a Marxist Verboten?

"The recent release of a tape by Andrew Breitbart's outfit sparked renewed interest in President Obama's murky past. In anticipation, conservatives were elated that the president might finally be exposed. The tape showed Obama, then at Harvard Law, orchestrating a protest on behalf of Derrick Bell.

Without providing any background on just how radical is Professor Bell, the compliant liberal media derisively dismissed it all as conservative paranoia, even proclaiming presidential vindication.

But the Breitbart footage showing Obama supporting Derrick Bell's racialism highlights the precise hue of the president's Marxist perspectives. Professor Bell has been nicknamed the "Jeremiah Wright of the academic world." Bell's Critical Race Theory, the pinnacle of political correctness, applies Marxism to culture, as orthodox Marxism antagonized class differences.

Whereas Marx proffered that the pivotal hinge was economic, as explained here, cultural Marxism, aka political correctness, features other factors. It's still victims and villains, but the culprits extend beyond capitalists and bourgeois to whites, men, Christians, and other "privileged" parties. Western culture's prey are racial or religious minorities, women, and those behaving in ways previously considered anti-social." [American Thinker]

At Heart of Health Law Clash, a 1942 Case of a Farmer’s Wheat

Mr. Filburn sued to overturn a 1938 federal law that told him how much wheat he could grow on his family farm and made him pay a penalty for every extra bushel." [NY Times]

Regulatory Insanity -: A $17,000 Dumpster Ramp for the Handicapped

"We submitted our building construction plans for the restaurant last year to the county. We had over fifty revisions including a request that the trash dumpster have an enclosure. We stated that the dumpster had a walled enclosure of six feet in height and that the dumpster was rain proof. The County stated that we must have a roof over the trash dumpster. We had the architect draw it up. The plans returned rejected.

The County now rejected the dumpster enclosure because it violated the Americans with Disabilities Act. They required that we build a ramp with a locking gate at the top of the ramp for any wheelchair-bound employee. We argued that the public did not have access to the enclosure and we would not ask any employees in a wheelchair to throw out the trash. The County stated that the lack of a ramp would create a barrier to hiring a handicapped person.

The additional ramp with locking gate increased construction costs by $17,000 and it will take my employees longer to throw out the trash on a daily basis." [Patterico's Pontifications]

What the Mailman Knows about Ayers and Obama

"A few days ago I got a call asking whether I knew anything about the Ayers family mailman. I had heard of him, I said. I remembered liberal blogger Steven Diamond having interviewed the fellow a few years back, but I paid it little mind, as the information seemed too limited to pursue.

The caller then sent me a video interview with the mailman by WND sleuth Jerome Corsi. The video made me sit up and pay attention. The mailman is a real person. His name is Alan Hulton. He seems entirely credible, and he has a story to tell." [American Thinker]

Russian “anti-terrorism” troops arrive at Syrian port

"A Russian military unit has arrived in Syria, according to Russian news reports, a development that a United Nations Security Council source told ABC News was “a bomb” certain to have serious repercussions

Now the Russian Black Sea fleet’s Iman tanker has arrived in the Syrian port of Tartus on the Mediterranean Sea with an anti-terror squad from the Russian Marines aboard according to the Interfax news agency. The Assad government has insisted it is fighting a terrorist insurgency…" [Hot Air]

Most transparent administration ever receives a C- in transparency

"The day after President Barack Obama took office, he circulated a memo to his executive agencies that urged administration officials to “adopt a presumption in favor of disclosure.”

“Transparency and the rule of law will be the touchstones of this presidency,” Obama said at the time.

But transparency is as much about what kind of information the government releases as about how much. If the public has no need of the information the administration releases but has great need for information the administration withholds, the government can’t claim to be “transparent.” This administration is opaque in precisely that way." IRS Failed to Adequately Screen 77% of New Hires

"The IRS has implemented controls designed to ensure that applicants pursuing permanent or temporary employment with the IRS are suitable, and background investigation requests are properly initiated. However, our review at four of nine Employment Operations branch offices revealed that nearly 77% of the cases reviewed (507 of 662 cases) did not have sufficient documentation that would allow us to verify that the Employment Operations offices completed all of the required pre-screening steps before the employee reported for duty." Racial Quota Fallout

"Many years ago, I learned of an episode in the life of a promising young black man that is relevant to things happening now. He had been educated at a good school, and went on to receive degrees at good colleges and universities. Then he went for a Ph.D. in mathematics at one of the leading departments in that field.

When he encountered difficulties, his professors essentially wrote his doctoral thesis for him. No doubt they felt good about doing something to help a promising young black man, and perhaps took pride in doing so. But what about his pride?

This young man ended up joining an extremist group that hated white people." [Thomas Sowell]

Obama Shows No (Weight) Class in Meeting with Foreign Heads of State

"See how many times the Bamboozler-in-Chief condescendingly refers to smaller countries as "punching above their weight". One time might be an off the cuff remark, but to repeatedly make the same condescending, even mildly insulting boxing comparison shows either a complete lack of imagination on the part of Obama and his speech writers, or the fact that there is no teleprompter in these Oval Office meetings, and trite, near meaningless phrases are all he can muster.

A little lesson in logic and language...not every nation can be our "closest" ally. They can be among our closest allies, but every nation cannot be the closest. Sounds a lot like empty flattery and pandering to me. Kinda reminds me of some lounge lizard Lothario, whispering to every woman in the room that she's the prettiest one there, hoping none of the other ladies can hear him.

To use another boxing metaphor, Obama has proven himself to be a flyweight in international affairs. Time for him to throw in the towel." [Left Coast Rebel]

The president's bogus birth certificate

"Did you see the reaction of the "press" to Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio's report on the fact that Barack Obama's birth certificate is a crude forgery?

Did the media assembled in Phoenix gasp in shock at the carefully presented findings?

Did reporters run out of the room to file Page 1 stories explaining that the first law-enforcement investigation of the document found overwhelming and compelling evidence of criminal fraud?

Did the shocking report lead the news on ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and CNN?

No" [WND]

USA: An oil rich nation after all

"The President has been traveling on Campaign Tourapalooza 2012 this month and seeking to explain rising oil and gas prices. One of his favorite tag lines has been to say that you “can’t just drill your way to lower gas prices.” (And he’s partly correct there, but more on that later.) But he’s also tossing out another figure when he makes these remarks.
“With only 2% of the world’s oil reserves, we can’t just drill our way to lower gas prices,” he said. “Not when we consume 20% of the world’s oil.”
The U.S. has 22.3 billion barrels of proved reserves, a little less than 2% of the entire world’s proved reserves, according to the Energy Information Administration. But as the EIA explains, proved reserves “are a small subset of recoverable resources,” because they only count oil that companies are currently drilling for in existing fields.

The main problem is that most of these resources are roped off. Just knowing the oil is there comes as little comfort if there are never going to be any leases issued by the government for energy companies to explore. And our ability to access the shale oil – while technically well withing our capability today – will be significantly hamstrung as long as activists continue to fight fracking and horizontal drilling." Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia issues fatwa to 'destroy all churches'

"One of the most influential spiritual figures in Sunni Islam has called for the destruction of all Christian churches.

The Grand Mufti of Saudia Arabia declared that it is "necessary to destroy all the churches of the region."

On March 12, Sheik Abdul Aziz bin Abdullah, the grand mufti of Saudi Arabia, declared that it is "necessary to destroy all the churches of the region."

If the pope called for the destruction of all the mosques in Europe, the uproar would be cataclysmic. Pundits would lambaste the church, the White House would rush out a statement of deep concern, and rioters in the Middle East would kill each other in their grief. But when the most influential leader in the Muslim world issues a fatwa to destroy Christian churches, the silence is deafening." [American Thinker]

1 Admiral per Every Naval Ship !

"At the close of World War II, the Navy had about 130 ships for every admiral in the flag ranks.

Today, that ratio is closer to one ship for every admiral.

What happened?

10 Reasons Why Fisker May Be Worse Than Solyndra

"Automotive and green technology advocacy Web sites are abuzz with a story about a former employee of Fisker Automotive who claims the company released its $102,000-plus Karma electric sport sedan prematurely, in order to meet targets set forth by the Department of Energy so Fisker could access funds from a $529 million loan award.

This followed reports from all over the Internet that Consumer Reports purchased a Karma in Connecticut for $107,850, only to see it totally disabled before the magazine could run it through its tests." [National Legal and Policy Center]

What Public Employee Unions are Doing to Our Country

"These days, when conservatives get together to discuss the debilitating role played by government workers, we reassure ourselves with statements by FDR and labor leader Samuel Gompers about the fundamental incompatibilities between a union of private workers working for a private company and a union of government workers laboring for our city, state, or federal governments. We also trace the line of expansion to various events, including John F. Kennedy’s executive order that opened the path for collective bargaining for public employees at the federal level.

I don’t want to rehash that today. Today I want to talk about the situation as we find it, and suggest that the first step toward a cure is to diagnose the illness accurately. This means changing the way we think of public sector unions. And in what I have to say, I will concentrate on public sector unions at the state and local levels." [William McGurn]

Feds to Texas: You defunded Planned Parenthood, now we’re defunding you

"When the Texas state administration first considered a rule to ban Planned Parenthood and other abortion providers from participating in the Texas’ Women’s Health Program, which is jointly funded by the state of Texas and the federal government, the Obama administration retaliated by threatening to cut funding to the program entirely. Texas Health and Human Services Commissioner Thomas Suehs signed the rule anyway — and the ball was back in the Obama administration’s court" [Hot Air]

Obama’s Poll Troubles Suggest His 2012 Strategy Is Backfiring

"The fallout from two major polls yesterday—Washington Post/ABC and New York Times/CBS—finding measurable and significant drops in support for Barack Obama nationwide during the past month has instantly changed the national conversation. Obama is in trouble, and there’s no pretending he isn’t.

The president knows the public loathes Washington, and so he has decided to run against Washington.

He can’t get away with blaming Washington’s ineffectuality and division on the other guys because he is the candidate of Washington. If you want more government—more safety net, more redistribution, more restrictions on the rights of mediating institutions like religious-run charities and hospitals for the purpose of expanding your definition of freedom—Barack Obama is your man. For him to turn around and effectively tell the electorate, “I hate this town like you do, so reelect me because I share your values,” is, to put it mildly, not credible." [Commentary]

Breitbart Barack (Hussein)

"Is there any better example of a warrior than Andrew Breitbart? The man was rigorous, relentless, and totally without remorse in search of the truth and in opposition to those who would rewrite history to expand and support the liberal narrative. Using the weapons of the left -- all media, and no subject taboo -- he pursued the illusions of progressivism with élan. Exceedingly effective, his name has entered the lexicon as a verb.

President Obama wants everyone to listen to his words, but ignore his actions. As a propitiator of extreme skill and nuance, he always knows what to say and refuses to let truth and civility get in his way. Our president believes he knows everything. Unfortunately, that is the only thing he knows.

Many voters will pick Obama, regardless of what he does. These people could come home from work to discover the president beating their mother to death with his Nobel Prize medal, and they would still vote for him.

It's not them we are after. It's the guy barely paying his mortgage, whose home has lost value, hurt by the price of gasoline and making less than he was before hope and change. Formerly comfortable -- before Barack -- but now everything has changed. He now hopes to be able to pay off his house and retire five years after his death.

He may belong to a party, but he does not have any particular party loyalty -- he is too busy trying to survive to pay much attention to politics. He gets most of his information from the legacy media, which is so in bed with Barack that for its acolytes, every day should be a walk of shame.

He is not the right, or the left, and he is not the middle. He is an American. He will listen, and he will vote -- conservatives must say something that resonates. It is not that he is uniformed as much as that he is misinformed -- he simply needs to be informed. " [William L. Gensert]

How Conservative Is Rick Santorum’s Record?

Let's look at actual data ...................

"To answer this question, I went to the American Conservative Union’s ratings archive for 2006, Santorum’s last year as a senator, and looked up the lifetime ratings of those who were in the Senate at that time. One could debate voting records endlessly, but most observers consider the ACU’s ratings to be a reliable and objective index of where a senator or congressman fits on the political spectrum.

..... Santorum was actually in the more moderate half of Republican senators during his years in that body. Bob Dole had a more conservative lifetime voting record; so did Trent Lott, John Sununu, Mitch McConnell, Lindsay Graham, and Orrin Hatch, who is now facing a Tea Party challenge in Utah. Bill Frist, not generally known as a fire-eater, had a record almost exactly as conservative as Santorum’s, at 87.8." [Power Line]

The Big Hoax

"There have been many frauds of historic proportions -- for example, the financial pyramid scheme for which Charles Ponzi was sent to prison in the 1920s, and for which Franklin D. Roosevelt was praised in the 1930s, when he called it Social Security. In our own times, Bernie Madoff's hoax has made headlines.

But the biggest hoax of the past two generations is still going strong -- namely, the hoax that statistical differences in outcomes for different groups are due to the way other people treat those groups." [Thomas Sowell]

Republican Frat Brothers Reignite Dems’ “War on Women” Theme
