"The “Occupy” movement has pretty much died out, to the great relief of Democratic politicians who at one time thought it could be a liberal counterweight to the Tea Partiers. Unfortunately, it didn’t work out that way–the Occupiers revealed themselves as more a crime wave, and a singularly unhygienic crime wave at that, than a political movement.
The occupations have ended just about everywhere, but the crime wave continues. The Oakland Tribune reports:
Three Occupy Oakland protesters suspected of stealing an Oakland woman’s wallet and making offensive remarks about her perceived sexuality were charged Friday with robbery and committing a hate crime, both felonies, authorities said. …"
