Is there life after college?

"Of course there is. But our leading politicians all seem to have stepped out of your college dorm.

Bill Clinton is the guy who never lost a BS session argument. Ted Cruz is the only guy who never lost an argument to Bill Clinton, but who also set the dorm record for causing eyes to roll.

Barack Obama is the guy you could usually defeat in an argument but only the most intelligent of your friends realized you had beaten him.

George W. Bush is the guy who never participated in BS sessions. You thought he was out having a good time and sometimes he was. You considered him shallow and intellectually challenged until you discovered that while you were talking, he was often in his room reading the books you were discussing without having read.

John Kerry is the guy three years your senior to whom you looked up when you arrived at college, but within a few months realized was a windbag. Mitt Romney is the guy three years your senior whom you dismissed as a “straight-arrow” when you arrived and came to respect only after he had graduated.

Joe Biden is the guy everyone liked, but who lasted only one semester. You weren’t sure whether he was bounced for bad grades or plagiarism.

Marco Rubio is the guy two years your junior who was always trying to impress you with his earnestness and his ideas. Eventually, his earnestness made you wonder whether he was a phony and the opportunism of his arguments made you wonder some more.

Hillary Clinton is the student who crashed your circle on the heels of her popular boyfriend. She resented the circle because she thought its reluctance to admit was due her gender and/or her brains. In reality, it was due to her obnoxiousness."
