Here's an attempt at the Republican Convention being taken in the Rules Committee which would strip away the practice that local grassroots members select their delegates to the Convention. There is a proposal in the works which would give future Presidential candidates to have veto power over delegate selection. This effectively takes away control of delegates from local grassroots folks and puts it in the hands of Washington Beltway operatives.
