Biden, Ryan battle for voters in Tampa Bay area

But on the way to the Community Hall, the Democrats who drove down Pebble Beach Boulevard had to run a gantlet of Republicans waving Romney signs. There were sign-wavers at nearly every intersection. Some had signs mounted on bicycles or the ubiquitous Sun City Center golf carts.

This large, planned retirement community has an active Democratic Party, but they're outnumbered by Republicans. Voter registration in the eight Sun City Center precincts is Republicans, 8,032; Democrats, 4,979; and minor party or no party, 4,292.

Florida Sen. Bill Nelson told reporters he's not dismayed by the GOP sign wavers.

Well... I've got news for the soon to be EX-SENATOR Nelson .... I live right next to the Community Hall... and I learned of Biden's visit last night..... and decided this morning to put on the coffee, buy some donuts and invite any of my neighbor sign-wavers in to rest, fuel up, and make a potty-stop.  These sign wavers were far less staged than an Obama or Biden Pess Conference!
