The Ninth Anniversary  Of Hurricane Charlie

Nine years ago today Hurricane Charlie struck Punta Gorda, Florida, the eye passing about a mile from our home.  We were not in town when it hit, but returned immediately to find the damage rather extensive.

Here is our outside pool deck structure.  We had windows blown in and shards of glass throughout the house. Roof tiles ripped off as were solar heating tubes.   The air conditioning condensor was blown off its pedestal.  We had many "dings" in our outside walls.  Loss of windows allowed water damage to many walls and all carpeting.     [clipper]
