Obama creates an Ebola Czar out of a Democratic political operative

"“It may make sense for us to have one person, in part just so that after this initial surge of activity we can have a more regular process to make sure we’re crossing all t’s and dotting all the i’s,” the president said.

Within hours of these remarks, the president apparently determined that it did make sense to create an “Ebola Czar.” On Friday, that is precisely what he did.

Ron Klain, a former chief of staff to both Vice Presidents Al Gore and Joe Biden, has been tapped to oversee the nation’s response to the Ebola crisis."

Klain is also a veteran of Democratic Party politics. He worked closely with President Bill Clinton and helped him prepare for the 1992 debates and ran Gore’s “war room” during the 2000 presidential campaign. "     [Hot Air]

President Obama Already Has An Ebola Czar. Where Is She?

"What’s particularly interesting about this discussion, then, is that nobody has even discussed the fact that the federal government not ten years ago created and funded a brand new office in the Health and Human Services Department specifically to coordinate preparation for and response to public health threats like Ebola. The woman who heads that office, and reports directly to the HHS secretary, has been mysteriously invisible from the public handling of this threat. And she’s still on the job even though three years ago she was embroiled in a huge scandal of funneling a major stream of funding to a company with ties to a Democratic donor—and away from a company that was developing a treatment now being used on Ebola patients."
