Ted Cruz: ‘Abolish the IRS’

Hear, hear!!! Many now agree .........

However, I for one, do NOT AGREE with Cruz's solution.  The good Senator is proposing that we abolish the IRS and, presumably the tens of thousands of pages of tax code, and move to a FLAT tax.  He wants "the average American" to fill out a postcard sized tax return.  He describes it as "Put down how much you earn, put down a deduction for charitable contributions, home mortgage and how much you owe."  Although he doesn't say, FLAT TAX proponents would have all individual payers paying the same rate.  Unfortunately this simplistic solution does not go far enough.

How does the FLAT TAX treat businesses?  No change?  Well then,  bring back a few ten thousands of those tax code rules.

The FLAT TAX, leaving deductions available for home mortgages and charitable contributions, really simply leaves the gate open for special interests to petition Congress for other deductions...... and soon we are right back where we started.

The only REAL ANSWER to this tax issue is for us to implement the FAIR TAX
which would abolish the IRS, repeal the 16th Ammendment which gives the Federal government the right to tax our income, and would establish a national sales tax on all NEW goods and services.
Where the FLAT TAX charges ALL INDIVIDUALS with the same tax on their INCOME (however one determines "income").......  the FAIR TAXis a consumption tax.  EVERYONE (including drug dealers, hookers, and illegal immigrants) would be equally taxed.   Under the FAIR TAX every person living in the United States pays a sales tax on purchases of new goods and services, excluding necessities due to the prebate. The FairTax rate after necessities is 23% and equal to the lowest current income tax bracket (15%) combined with employee payroll taxes (7.65%), both of which will be eliminated.
The FAIR TAX is currently before the House of Representatives as H.R. 25 .

The FAIR TAX, would NOT tax businesses (except for their purchases of NEW goods and services).  This will cause an explosion of overseas companies coming to our tax-haven shores.
Remember ...... it's the FAIR TAX that is the solution   ....
NOT THE FLAT TAX.
